What you'll do

Author, review, and approve NDT procedures for various methods ensuring full compliance with NAVSEA requirements.
Act as the technical authority for interpreting NDT results and providing final disposition on non-conforming indications.
Train, examine, and certify NDT Level I and II personnel in accordance with SNT-TC-1A and NAVSEA 271.
Develop novel ultrasonic testing techniques for new materials, complex geometries, and advanced manufacturing processes.
Select, procure, and qualify NDT equipment for expanding manufacturing facilities.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure "inspect ability" is integrated into product designs and manufacturing processes.
Oversee and audit external NDT suppliers to ensure compliance with company and military standards.
Lead and support internal and external audits of the NDT program.

What we're looking for

Must have verifiable work experience meeting NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 requirements for Level III Examiner certification.
Must hold a current NDT Level III certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) from a recognized body like ASNT.
Must have experience acting as an NDT Level III in UT under a NAVSEA 271 compliant program.
Must have experience developing and administering NDT personnel qualification programs per SNT-TC-1A and NAVSEA 271.
Must have experience performing NDT on critical welded structures, pressure vessels, castings, or forgings for defense applications.
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident).
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
