Architect

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions using cloud deployments to solve complex technical problems.
• Write secure, high-quality production code while utilizing infrastructure as code for deployment management.
• Define and drive the technical target state for products focusing on big data and cloud infrastructure.
• Automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and host sessions with external vendors to assess architectural designs.
• Drive the adoption of agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and security practices in cloud environments.
• Design and build data lakes using AWS S3, Glue, and Lake Formation.
• Develop scalable, secure operational data platforms using MongoDB NoSQL and big data frameworks like Spark or Hive.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology Systems, or a related field plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology Systems, or a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Five years of experience designing high-level and technical design documents for platform use cases using Lucid Chart artifacts.
• Five years of experience leveraging Athena and EMR for data processing and analysis.
• Five years of experience automating the deployment and management of AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Five years of experience working and deploying scalable, secure operational data platforms using MongoDB NoSQL.
• Five years of experience utilizing big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, or Hive based distributed technology frameworks.
• Five years of experience with AWS resources such as EC2 and Cloud Watch, and three years of experience building data lakes using S3, Glue, and Lake Formation.
