What you'll do

Lead the design, development, and implementation of strategic applications and data solutions for the CitiFTP platform.
Provide technical leadership across all phases of the software development lifecycle for a globally distributed team.
Develop scalable data processing and analytics solutions using Big Data and cloud technologies like Hadoop, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Perform complex data analysis, performance tuning, and root cause investigations to ensure data quality and integrity.
Translate business requirements into sustainable technology solutions while communicating risks and technical concepts to stakeholders.
Resolve complex production issues and lead the implementation of long-term corrective actions for major incidents.
Establish and enforce development standards, coding best practices, and architecture principles across the engineering team.
Mentor developers and analysts on solution design, troubleshooting strategies, and professional growth.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Master's degree (preferred).
6+ years of relevant experience in application development, software engineering, systems analysis, or related technology roles.
Hands-on experience with Java, Python, and PySpark for enterprise applications and large-scale data processing.
Advanced SQL skills including complex data analysis, query optimization, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.
Experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies (Hive, Spark, Impala, HDFS) and Unix/Linux administration with shell scripting.
Experience leading cross-functional teams through major production incidents and platform enhancement initiatives.
Experience supporting Treasury, Finance, or Banking applications; familiarity with Autosys, ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics (preferred).
