Application Support Engineer

What you'll do

• Define and enforce measurable reliability targets and operational metrics for critical application environments.
• Architect and implement advanced monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify performance issues.
• Develop and automate failover, recovery workflows, and automated remediation mechanisms like circuit breakers.
• Lead critical incident management including rapid restoration, root cause analysis, and long-term improvements.
• Optimize resource allocation and infrastructure costs while maintaining high availability for large-scale systems.
• Oversee continuous validation processes to detect and remediate application drift and performance regressions.
• Manage production environments using advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve system anomalies.
• Communicate complex technical issues and actionable insights to both technical and business stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Data Engineer, Support Engineer, Software Developer, or related role.
• 5 years of experience with incident management (Sev1/Sev2), observability tools, and automation using Python and Bash.
• 5 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Kubernetes for deployments and scaling.
• 5 years of experience in AWS production operations including VPC networking, IAM, encryption, and multi-AZ resilience.
• 5 years of experience in database reliability, Linux systems, and network diagnostics.
• Experience with SLI/SLO management, error budgets, and high-availability performance tuning.
• Experience in disaster recovery, capacity planning, and automated change management.
