AI Platform & Application Engineer Vice President

What you'll do

• Design scalable AI architecture using LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, and model optimization techniques.
• Establish evaluation frameworks to measure model quality, hallucination control, and precision/recall trade-offs.
• Lead the design and implementation of AI platform capabilities across the software development lifecycle.
• Make buy vs. build decisions by evaluating third-party solutions against internal capabilities.
• Identify technical risks and dependencies early to develop mitigation and escalation plans.
• Translate complex AI capabilities into clear business values for senior stakeholders.
• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of engineers and senior individual contributors.

What we're looking for

• Experience building and operating production AI systems including LLM-based workflows.
• Understanding of modern AI practices such as prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Proven experience designing and delivering shared platforms or services at scale.
• Technical fluency in Java and Python for building scalable, production-grade AI and platform services.
• Experience designing APIs and operating services in distributed cloud environments.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and translate complex capabilities into business value.
• Experience working in Agile development teams.
• Prior experience in developer productivity, platform engineering, or people management (preferred); familiarity with enterprise governance for AI (preferred).
