As an Antenna Engineer (Starlink Mobile), you will join the Starlink Mobile team to develop a satellite-to-mobile network providing global cellular connectivity. You will be responsible for the design, verification, and validation of phased array antennas that enable direct-to-cell service. Your daily work involves designing advanced antenna and feed systems, fabricating and characterizing prototypes of RF front ends, and developing software to test digital beamforming systems. What you'll do

Design advanced antenna and feed systems for next-generation phased array antennas and test systems.
Fabricate and characterize prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends.
Develop software and conduct testing for digital beamforming systems to demonstrate full functionality.
Set technical specifications and debug problems for satellite phased array and ground test products.
Perform validation testing on both prototype designs and production units.
Manage the integration of antennas into spacecraft and other complex systems.
Analyze in-the-field operational RF performance data to identify improvements and debug issues.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
2+ years of research or development experience in RF and antennas.
1+ years of experience using 3D electromagnetic simulation tools like CST, HFSS, FEKO, EMPro, TICRA, or XFDTD.
Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering with research on RF or antennas is preferred.
1+ years of programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB.
Familiarity with antenna measurement techniques and tools such as anechoic/reverb chambers and near field EM measurements.
Familiarity with mainstream RF circuit simulation tools like AWR, ADS, or Genesys.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
