The AI/ML Engineer and Data Scientist joins a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, developers, and data consumers to build advanced technology solutions for mission-driven projects. This role involves managing the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms while deploying pipelines that organize disparate data into meaningful insights. The individual will perform analytical exploration, data examination, and data mining to solve problems in areas such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence. Required technical skills include proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for retrieving and merging structured and unstructured data from APIs and databases. Candidates must also possess experience with Large Language Models, Generative AI, and statistical analysis. Deploy and develop data pipelines and platforms to organize disparate data sources.

What we're looking for
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in data engineering are required.
12+ years of experience in data engineering is required in lieu of a degree.
4+ years of experience with major data science languages such as Python and R is required.
4+ years of experience retrieving, merging, and analyzing structured and unstructured data sources from APIs and databases through Python, R, or SQL is required.
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) is required.
Experience preparing data for use with AI or GenAI models is required.
Experience with data analytics, data mining, statistical analysis, or AI and ML is required.
Experience streamlining existing workflows by integrating LLMs and GenAI (preferred).
Experience conducting data architecture and ETL for the DoD or a federal agency (preferred).
Experience evaluating AI and ML model performance (preferred).
