The AI and ML Data Scientist joins a team focused on military intelligence to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI systems. You will build intelligent systems that transform complex, fragmented information into actionable intelligence for defense and national security clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing agentic AI capabilities, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and prompt strategies to support human-in-the-loop decision-making. You will work with structured and unstructured data, including text, reports, and geospatial data. Required technologies and skills include Python, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and CUDA. You must possess experience in NLP, LLMs, and multi-agent architectures. The role addresses the technical challenge of rapidly processing large volumes of information in contested environments to support intelligence discovery, analysis, prioritization, and reporting.
Design and develop agentic AI systems that can reason over data and orchestrate complex workflows.
Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and prompt engineering strategies for military intelligence.
Develop and deploy AI-enabled applications using Python and libraries like PyTorch, LangChain, and LlamaIndex.
Analyze and integrate structured and unstructured data sources including text, reports, and geospatial data.
Create evaluation frameworks to test model performance, accuracy, robustness, and hallucination mitigation.
Translate military intelligence mission requirements into technical AI solutions and production-ready prototypes.
Ensure AI systems are reliable, explainable, secure, and aligned with operational requirements in constrained environments.
What we're looking for
4+ years of experience in Data Science, CS, AI, ML, Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics.
Experience developing, integrating, or evaluating AI, ML, NLP, LLMs, or agentic AI capabilities using Python and libraries like PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or CUDA.
Experience developing agentic AI systems, including autonomous agents, multi-step reasoning workflows, task orchestration, RAG, or human-in-the-loop capabilities.
Experience designing, testing, and validating AI/ML systems, including model performance, hallucination mitigation, and integrating structured/unstructured intelligence data.
Experience supporting military intelligence, defense missions, or national security in classified, air-gapped, or operationally constrained environments.
Knowledge of information retrieval, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, data labeling, and model evaluation.
Experience with distributed data, cloud, or high-performance computing tools like Spark, Kafka, Databricks, or Kubernetes (preferred).
