AI/Machine Learning Engineer

What you'll do

• Convert Python research and development code into scalable, maintainable production components using Rust.
• Build and maintain comprehensive test suites including unit, integration, regression, and simulation tests.
• Implement stable interfaces and runtime components within a modular architecture to protect intellectual property.
• Profile system performance by monitoring CPU usage, memory, latency, and throughput for optimization.
• Support infrastructure requirements such as containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Develop components supporting diverse environments including real-time inference, cloud services, and edge systems.
• Document technical designs, interfaces, benchmarks, and operating assumptions for team maintenance.
• Apply knowledge of neural symbolic computation and other advanced AI concepts to production software.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field is required, or a High School Diploma with five years of software experience.
• Candidates must have at least five years of programming experience in Python and either C++, Rust, or another systems language.
• Candidates must have at least three years of experience in core software engineering practices like version control and automated testing.
• Experience converting research code, mathematical algorithms, or prototypes into robust, production-ready software is preferred.
• Proficiency in Rust or a demonstrated ability to learn Rust quickly is highly valued.
• Knowledge of high-performance computing, concurrency, parallel computing, or systems programming is an asset.
• Experience with containerization, CI/CD, cloud providers, and performance profiling tools is preferred.
