As an AI Production Architecture Sr Lead Software Engineer, you will join the Consumer & Community Banking AI Production Architecture team to build and deliver trusted, scalable technology products. You will develop secure production code, lead and mentor other engineers, and serve as a subject matter expert on firmwide frameworks. Your daily responsibilities include engineering production-grade multi-agent AI systems and an applied AI platform that automates software delivery pipeline stages from architecture through QA. You will utilize Python and TypeScript to build CLI tooling, API integrations, and data pipelines while managing LLM APIs, streaming, and context management. You must apply expertise in multi-step AI workflows, including sequential chains and human-in-the-loop checkpoints, while ensuring responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and security across the enterprise stack.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Engineer and build production-grade multi-agent AI systems used daily by thousands of engineers.
Build an applied AI platform to automate software delivery stages from architecture through QA and security.
Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices and measurable validation standards.
Own agent capabilities end-to-end with a focus on reliability, evaluation, observability, and cost-per-session.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Lead and mentor software engineers of varying levels within the organization.
Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript to build CLI tooling, API integrations, and data pipelines.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and resiliency.
Experience building systems on top of LLM APIs including endpoint integration, streaming, and tool/function calling.
Experience designing multi-step AI workflows such as sequential chains, parallel fan-out, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
