AI Product Management, VP II - State Street Investment Management joins the Data, Analytics and AI Services team to bridge business functions and engineering teams. This role involves translating complex business workflows into scalable AI product capabilities across investment, product, client, finance, and operations functions. The successful candidate will identify pain points, manage roadmaps using Agile methodologies, and oversee the delivery of reusable feature sets while coordinating with onshore and offshore data science and financial engineering teams. Key technical requirements include expertise in machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI, specifically involving multi-agent workflows and human-on-the-loop patterns. The role requires proficiency in Python, SQL, Google Gemini Enterprise, AWS Bedrock, Anthropic Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot to solve problems within the asset management domain, including portfolio management, trading, and product research.
Identify business pain points and opportunities to reimagine workflows through integrated AI capabilities.
Translate complex business problems into scalable AI product lines and reusable feature sets.
Analyze competitor and fintech offerings to inform the firm's AI product roadmap.
Lead AI product implementation using Agile methodologies to manage roadmaps and delivery milestones.
Review and validate technical deliverables from engineering and data science teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Demonstrate new product capabilities and communicate business impact to stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
Coordinate daily execution across onshore and offshore engineering, data science, and financial engineering teams.
What we're looking for
Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
15+ years of experience in asset management across areas like portfolio management, trading, sales, client relations, research, finance, or operations.
10+ years of product management experience in the asset management industry with hands-on experience designing and implementing technology products.
6+ years of AI engineering or adjacent AI-related experience including machine learning, predictive AI, generative AI, and agentic AI.
5+ years of experience leading technology-enabled transformation initiatives in complex, cross-functional environments.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing multi-agent workflows, human-on-the-loop command patterns, and autonomous agentic workflows.
Proficiency with modern AI platforms (Google Gemini Enterprise, AWS Bedrock), Python, SQL, and AI-assisted development tools like Anthropic Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
Experience serving as an AI Product Manager within a financial institution (preferred); CFA Level II completion or equivalent certification (preferred).
