AI Gateway Security Engineer, Lead

What you'll do

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise AI gateway capabilities across multi-cloud and federal environments.
• Implement AI security controls including guardrails, policy enforcement, and secure API integrations.
• Develop scalable, high-availability security architectures and automate policy-as-code using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Manage machine-to-machine authentication and authorization for LLM inference and agent-based architectures.
• Automate security workflows, remediation processes, and governance controls using APIs and scripting.
• Lead the continuous improvement of security playbooks, escalation paths, and service-level expectations.
• Operationalize security findings and drive remediation to closure in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and supervise technical team members on security engineering and cloud security tools.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity operations, security engineering, or vulnerability management.
• Experience deploying and administering AI security measures like gateways and guardrails in multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with API integrations and machine-to-machine authentication such as API keys and OAuth.
• Experience with AI application and agent architectures, including LLM inference, MCP, and A2A.
• Experience supporting security tooling within federal environments.
• Experience building high availability architectures for enterprise scale deployments.
• Ability to automate tooling and workflows via APIs, Terraform, Kubernetes, or scripting.
• Bachelor's degree.
