AI Engineer III

What you'll do

• Architect, develop, and maintain multi-agent systems and autonomous tool-calling pipelines using Python and the Google Agent Development Kit.
• Build high-performance RAG architectures integrated with Vertex AI Vector Search and BigQuery.
• Develop scalable data ingestion, chunking, and embedding pipelines using Cloud Dataflow and Cloud Run Jobs.
• Deploy and operationalize agents on Vertex AI Agent Engine, Cloud Run, and Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Establish automated evaluation suites for reasoning, tool fidelity, and context relevance.
• Implement production-grade observability, telemetry, and monitoring for agent execution and latency.
• Secure agent tools and API calls using least-privilege IAM, VPC Service Controls, and safety guardrails.
• Expose agent capabilities through FastAPI or gRPC microservices to be integrated into enterprise portals.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Master's degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience designing and shipping ML models to production is required.
• Experience leading the design of at least one significant ML-powered feature is required.
• Expert proficiency in Python, including asynchronous programming, typing, and FastAPI development.
• In-depth experience with the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Google Agent CLI.
• Hands-on experience with Vertex AI platform components, including Vector Search, Model Garden, and Agent Engine.
• Proficiency in GCP infrastructure tools such as Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, and Cloud Dataflow.
