JOB TITLE: Principal Agentic Robotics Architect
The Principal Agentic Robotics Architect joins the Robotics team to own the architecture for how machines plan and orchestrate multi-step work. This role focuses on the agentic layer of planning, task decomposition, tool use, memory, and deliberative reasoning. You will design technical infrastructure, including specific databases, programming languages, and testing approaches, while leading the evaluation and deployment of new technologies. Key responsibilities include defining agentic patterns, planning interfaces, and memory state approaches, and connecting these to VLA and behavior generation. Required skills include experience with agentic systems, robotics, autonomy, and AI/ML. You will work within a public cloud ecosystem using Agile SDLC, CI/CD, and resource optimization to solve complex problems in construction autonomy and physical AI.
Design the architecture for agentic systems to handle planning, task decomposition, and deliberative reasoning for autonomous machines.
Develop detailed technical infrastructure including specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
Create architectural roadmaps and IT blueprints that align technical processes with overarching business strategies.
Architect memory, context, and state management systems for long-horizon robotic tasks.
Connect agentic planning systems to Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models and behavior generation.
Lead the evaluation and deployment of new technologies to enhance existing digital technical capabilities.
Define architectural standards and patterns to provide technical direction across multiple engineering organizations.
Translate business requirements into logical models and technical application designs.
What we're looking for
Must be able to work full-time at the Irving, TX office.
Must have a progressive career in software engineering and architecture with a focus on AI/ML and robotics at a senior or principal level.
Must have knowledge of application design and architecture principles to convert business requirements into technical designs.
Must have knowledge of platform architecture to design processing mechanisms, roadmaps, and supportive interfaces.
Must have knowledge of requirements analysis tools and methods to elicit and record business functionality.
Must have knowledge of target architecture to develop IT blueprints aligned with business strategies.
Must have a strong understanding of Agile SDLC implementation in public cloud ecosystems, including CI/CD and test automation.
Experience architecting planning, task decomposition, and deliberative reasoning systems for robotics, autonomy, or agentic AI (preferred).
Experience with agent architectures that select and orchestrate tools and capabilities for multi-step goals (preferred).
Understanding of memory, context, and state management for long-horizon tasks (preferred).
Ability to connect agentic planning to learned policies (VLA) and behavior generation (preferred).
Ability to influence senior leaders, define architectural roadmaps, and provide technical direction across multiple engineering organizations (preferred).
