As a Senior Director, the Agentic AI Commerce Solutioner joins the team to shape, govern, and sell end-to-end digital and agentic commerce architectures for complex enterprise clients. This role involves designing scalable platforms that integrate storefronts, order management, payment services, and loyalty programs while navigating emerging technologies like Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), Agent2Agent (A2A), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Agent Payments Protocol (AP2). The individual will build multi-agent orchestration patterns for purchase journeys, develop technical blueprints, and lead pre-sales efforts to translate AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes. Key competencies include expertise in commerce domain processes, such as catalog modeling and payment orchestration, alongside skills in microservice architectures and event-driven integration. This role solves the challenge of integrating consumer AI surfaces with merchant systems while ensuring brand sovereignty and data protection across global markets.
Design end-to-end digital commerce architectures integrating storefronts, order management, payments, and downstream enterprise systems.
Architect agentic commerce solutions using protocols like UCP, A2A, and MCP to connect AI surfaces to merchant systems.
Develop multi-agent orchestration patterns for discovery, inventory validation, cart creation, and automated checkout journeys.
Lead high-priority pre-sales pursuits by shaping technical narratives, proposal architectures, and commercial feasibility studies.
Conduct client discovery workshops to identify current gaps and define roadmaps for commerce modernization.
Author whitepapers, blogs, and presentation materials regarding agentic commerce architecture and implementation patterns.
Mentor engineers and architects on modern commerce standards, integration models, and agentic AI capabilities.
Build reusable solution archetypes, playbooks, and technical standards based on lessons learned from active projects.
What we're looking for
Must have 12–18 years of professional experience in senior solution architecture, digital commerce, technical leadership, or systems integration.
Must have at least 8 years of experience in commerce architecture, solutioning, or technical leadership for enterprise environments.
Requires extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale digital commerce architectures using modern platforms and integration patterns.
Requires significant practical experience in commerce implementation including catalog modeling, order lifecycles, payment orchestration, and tax/pricing rules.
Must have a proven track record of architecting or winning complex commerce transformation programs for enterprise clients.
Preferred experience with AI agent frameworks, agentic system design, or AI-enabled commerce use cases.
Preferred certifications include Google Cloud, Google Commerce, Gemini, Shopify Plus Partner, Salesforce, Adobe, or SAP Commerce.
