As an Agentic AI Developer, you will join a team dedicated to transforming complex data and workflows into secure, reliable AI-enabled capabilities for a defense client. You will build, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain AI agents and supporting applications using the Agent Foundry platform within an AWS environment. Your daily responsibilities include connecting agents to enterprise data, implementing retrieval-augmented generation, and managing workflow orchestration. You will collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to translate mission needs into software supporting knowledge discovery, workflow automation, and geospatial analysis. Required skills include production-grade Python, LLM development patterns, and AWS fundamentals like IAM and secure development practices. You must be able to evaluate application performance using test datasets and metrics while ensuring traceable outputs and human oversight.
Build, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain AI agents and supporting applications using the Agent Foundry platform.
Connect AI agents to enterprise data and tools while implementing retrieval and workflow orchestration.

What we're looking for
2+ years of experience developing production-grade Python software, including back-end applications, APIs, or data services.
2+ years of experience developing, integrating, or deploying AI/ML-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, or agentic workflows.
Experience contributing to software development projects using Git-based version control, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Experience evaluating AI/ML applications using test datasets, performance metrics, error analysis, or documented user feedback.
Knowledge of LLM and agent development patterns, including tool calling, context management, retrieval, and workflow orchestration.
Knowledge of AWS fundamentals, including IAM, compute, storage, networking, and secure development practices.
Ability to translate mission use cases into tested software features and communicate designs to engineering and domain experts.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Experience developing or deploying AI-enabled applications on AWS using services like Bedrock, SageMaker, or Lambda (preferred).
Experience implementing agent orchestration or knowledge retrieval using LangChain, LangGraph, or vector databases (preferred).
Experience building production data pipelines using SQL, Python, AWS Glue, Spark, or Airflow (preferred).
Experience implementing AWS DevOps or MLOps practices using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or GitHub Actions (preferred).
Experience securing AWS-hosted models through least-privilege IAM, encryption, and safeguards against prompt injection (preferred).
Experience developing computer vision or geospatial solutions using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or OpenCV (preferred).
Knowledge of software and AI/ML delivery requirements in AWS GovCloud or regulated environments (preferred).
AWS Professional-level, Security Specialty, or Associate-level certifications (preferred).
