As an Agentic AI Developer, you will join the team to build, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain AI agents and supporting applications within an AWS environment using the Agent Foundry platform. You will be responsible for connecting agents to enterprise data and tools, implementing retrieval-augmented generation, managing workflow orchestration, and evaluating application performance and reliability. Your daily work involves collaborating with engineers and subject matter experts to translate mission needs into functional software for defense clients. The role requires proficiency in Python, LLM development patterns like tool calling and context management, and AWS fundamentals including IAM and secure development practices. You will utilize tools such as Git, LangChain, and various AWS services to solve complex problems involving knowledge discovery, workflow automation, and geospatial analysis for infrastructure and asset management within a secure defense context.
Build, integrate, and maintain AI agents and supporting applications using the Agent Foundry platform in an AWS environment.
Connect AI agents to enterprise data sources and tools to automate workflows and improve information discovery.
Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool calling, and complex workflow orchestration for agentic systems.
Evaluate application performance and reliability using test datasets, performance metrics, and error analysis.
Translate mission requirements into technical specifications and functional software features for defense clients.
Ensure all AI capabilities include appropriate security controls, traceable outputs, and human-in-the-loop oversight.
Participate in technical design discussions and perform code reviews to improve system reliability.
Troubleshoot issues and optimize existing solutions within the production lifecycle.
What we're looking for
Must have 2+ years of experience developing production-grade Python software including back-end applications, APIs, or data services.
Must have 2+ years of experience developing, integrating, or deploying AI/ML-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, or agentic workflows.
Experience with Git-based version control, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD is required.
Knowledge of LLM and agent development patterns including tool calling, context management, and workflow orchestration is required.
Knowledge of AWS fundamentals, secure development practices, and managed AI/ML services is required.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
Experience with specific frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or MLOps tools; and AWS or CompTIA certifications (preferred).
