Advanced Staff Engineer, Power Electronics

What you'll do

• Lead the design, analysis, and technical maturation of high-performance power-conversion systems and energy-storage integration.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams to support power-electronics technology and product-development programs.
• Develop detailed technical analyses and present design decisions, risks, and recommendations during formal technical reviews.
• Serve as the customer-facing technical lead or Principal Investigator for assigned technology and development programs.
• Coordinate technology-development efforts to ensure alignment with long-term product and technology roadmaps.
• Identify technical risks and issues and develop corrective-action plans to drive resolution through closure.
• Support customer proposals by reviewing requirements, assessing technical feasibility, and identifying capability gaps.
• Mentor and coach engineers to develop technical talent for engineering-lead and Principal Investigator roles.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in power electronics engineering.
• Demonstrated experience designing, analyzing, developing, or supporting power-conversion hardware and systems.
• Experience leading technical workstreams, engineering projects, or cross-functional technical teams.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to engineering teams, leadership, suppliers, and customers.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable export-control regulations.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other protected individuals.
