What you'll do

  • Take responsibility for AMD’s discrete and embedded hardware products.
  • Build applications for both internal and external use.
  • Develop large-scale systems to improve the efficiency of the hardware organization.
  • Perform hardware automation, validation, and testing.
  • Assist with ASIC design and verification processes.
  • Work on system and board design, including circuit board layout and power design.
  • Utilize UNIX and JTAG tools for hardware development.

What we're looking for

  • You must be currently enrolled in a US-based university undergraduate program.
  • You must major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • You must be able to work full-time (40 hours a week) in a hybrid or onsite structure.
  • Knowledge or experience with C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, Perl, Spice, Ruby, Chrome OS, or MATLAB is encouraged (preferred).
  • Knowledge or experience with ASIC design and verification is encouraged (preferred).
  • Knowledge or experience with ML and AI is encouraged (preferred).
  • Knowledge or experience with system/board design, circuit board layout, signal integrity, or power design is encouraged (preferred).
  • Knowledge or experience with hardware automation, validation, test, UNIX, JTAG tools, or computer architecture is encouraged (preferred).
