Packaging Component Engineer

What you'll do

• Author and revise technical specifications for components to ensure consistent performance across products.
• Partner with vendors to develop and test components for equipment qualification and product launches.
• Manage the design transfer process from packaging commercialization to production.
• Act as Project Manager and Subject Matter Expert for component-related changes and impact assessments.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing line issues related to component performance and manage supplier investigations.
• Provide technical support to establish and improve run standards based on component capability.
• Conduct root cause analysis and author quality investigations for component deviations and field complaints.
• Support regulatory audits and provide engineering expertise to ensure site readiness.

What we're looking for

• A B.S. degree in Packaging Science is preferred.
• An Engineering degree with a COOP, internship, or 6 months of experience in packaging operations, pharmaceutical unit operations, or process design is accepted.
• Prior Co-Op/Intern experience with a comprehensive background in packaging process and components (preferred).
• Experience working in a GMP environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of formal problem-solving techniques such as root cause analysis or Lean Six Sigma (preferred).
• Technical writing and document review experience for deviations, change requests, SOPs, and protocols (preferred).
• Ability to perform analytical and decision-making tasks.
• Must be a resident of the United States or Puerto Rico.
