The 2026 Early Career Flight Test Engineer, Mission Autonomy joins the Test and Evaluation team to focus on software interface and diagnostics for autonomous systems. This role involves managing test programs from inception to completion, where you will coordinate, plan, and execute test events for mission autonomy capabilities using surrogate vehicles. You will design and implement test plans to verify autonomous system performance across various simulated mission profiles while analyzing complex data to identify improvements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams of software and hardware engineers, you will define requirements and communicate technical solutions to government partners. The role requires expertise in developing metrics and performance dashboards for complex systems. Preferred skills include experience with Python, C++, ROS, simulation environments, and knowledge of unmanned aerial systems within the defense and aerospace context.
Manage test programs from inception to completion including software qualification and production acceptance testing.
Coordinate and execute test events for mission autonomy capabilities using surrogate vehicles.

What we're looking for
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field is required, or equivalent experience in autonomous systems testing.
Ability to develop and execute test plans for complex systems within aggressive timelines.
Proven experience coordinating and executing complex test events.
Experience developing metrics and performance dashboards.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones.
Excellent communication skills to articulate technical challenges to diverse audiences, including military and government customers.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel to various testing locations as required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
