Workforce Compliance Manager

What you'll do

• Define monitoring coverage and set standards for triage, routing, and documentation across assigned compliance domains.
• Lead complex research on multi-jurisdictional employment laws and payroll rules to create actionable requirements for Product and Engineering teams.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery of compliance programs by coordinating with Legal, Operations, and technical teams.
• Influence the product roadmap by identifying regulatory trends and advising leadership on compliance risks and priorities.
• Identify and pilot AI-driven workflows to automate compliance monitoring, research, and requirement generation.
• Conduct accuracy reviews of product configurations to ensure alignment with current regulatory requirements and manage remediation.
• Establish documentation standards and playbooks to ensure audit readiness and institutional knowledge across the team.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in payroll compliance, employment law interpretation, or regulatory research.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into actionable requirements for product and engineering teams.
• Experience owning compliance requirements through full implementation cycles in a product and engineering environment.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and understanding of software development approaches.
• Track record of applying AI tools to accelerate research and build scalable compliance workflows (preferred).
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation (preferred).
• Familiarity with workforce or HCM compliance domains beyond payroll tax (preferred).
