Join Apple’s Wireless Connectivity Silicon team as a Senior Firmware Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing embedded firmware for SoC bring-up and wireless connectivity enablement. Your day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with software engineering teams to ensure the quality of firmware for manufacturability, resolving issues during product testing, and supporting pre-silicon validation efforts. You will work closely with Radio, MAC, and Systems engineering teams to develop innovative algorithms and protocols, and support post-silicon bring-up and performance characterization. This role requires expertise in C and assembly languages, familiarity with ARM CPUs, and knowledge of wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth and WLAN.

What you'll do

Craft and implement embedded firmware for SoC bring-up and wireless connectivity enablement.
Resolve issues with product test and protocol stack teams during interoperability testing.
Develop new features in wireless protocol stacks, device drivers, and diagnostics.
Debug real-time systems using development boards and lab equipment with limited visibility.
Support pre-silicon validation efforts including simulation, emulation, and FPGA prototyping.

What we're looking for

Strong background in embedded firmware development using C and assembly languages.
Experience with ARM CPUs and low-level hardware interfaces, including register and interrupt programming.
Solid understanding of RTOS, concurrency, and multi-processor systems in embedded environments.
Proficient in developing low-level drivers for peripherals and performing hardware bring-up.
Knowledgeable about wireless communication protocols and industry standards like Bluetooth, WLAN, Zigbee, UWB.
