The Windows Systems Administrator III joins the team to support mission critical infrastructure for the U.S. Navy Fleet Command. The role requires expertise in Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Exchange, Azure Cloud, Remote Desktop Services, VMware, and Omnissa. Essential skills include advanced system troubleshooting and the ability to manage secure, high availability environments. This position addresses the technical challenge of maintaining resilient infrastructure for naval operations while ensuring robust security and performance across global systems.

What you'll do

  • Administer and manage advanced Windows Server environments and Microsoft enterprise services.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues affecting servers, applications, and operating systems.
  • Perform performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization for reliable system performance.
  • Research, document, and recommend new system technologies and infrastructure improvements.
  • Review and implement Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and Bulletins (IAVBs).
  • Install, configure, secure, and maintain SQL databases to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain secure, resilient Windows infrastructure environments to support global operations.

What we're looking for

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance in DISS.
  • Must have an active CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Must hold an active Windows Server operating system certification.
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience is required.
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Extensive experience managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Exchange, and Azure Cloud is required.
  • Experience with VMware, Omnissa, and desktop management systems is required.
  • Must have experience installing, configuring, and administering SQL databases.
