  • Apply deep learning, neural video compression, and generative AI to unlock new possibilities in video processing.
  • Translate emerging research in computer vision and generative video into real-world product impacts across Apple platforms.
  • Develop and debug high-performance code using C/C++ and ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

What we're looking for

  • A Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required.
  • Mastery of video and image coding principles, including both classical and ML-driven approaches.
  • Hands-on experience with industry standards such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, AV1, H.266/VVC, and emerging AV2.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for software design, development, and debugging.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Practical experience applying deep learning, neural video compression, and generative AI to video processing.
