What you'll do

Spearhead R&D in emerging media compression technologies and standards.
Design and implement innovative video compression and processing algorithms.
Optimize algorithms for existing and future hardware platforms.
Define and integrate media features for upcoming products with hardware and software architects.
Apply computer vision and deep learning technologies to video processing tasks.
Develop hardware-friendly ideas for video processing and image coding.
Perform objective and subjective visual quality assessments.
Implement video processing algorithms such as scaling, noise reduction, and tone mapping.

What we're looking for

BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
Expertise in video and image coding principles, algorithms, and techniques.
In-depth knowledge of video compression standards such as H.264 and HEVC.
Strong programming skills in C/C++.
Excellent software design, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.
Experience with both objective and subjective visual quality assessment methods (preferred).
Understanding of hardware-based techniques and ability to develop hardware-friendly ideas (preferred).
Familiarity with video processing algorithms, digital signal processing, information theory, and deep learning (preferred).
