As a Vice President - Senior Manager Data Architect, you will join the Information Architecture team to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution. You will collaborate with product owners and subject matter experts to develop Logical Data Models that reflect functional needs while maturing Business Information Models through ongoing analysis. Your daily work involves engaging stakeholders to propose architecture approaches, participating in governance bodies, and troubleshooting complex technical problems to automate recurring issues. The role requires expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle, Domain Driven Design, and building Common Data Models within the financial services industry. You will utilize tools such as MagicDraw and Erwin while applying UML and ER modeling methods. Essential skills include advanced knowledge of data management functions, information architecture standards, and experience with Wholesale Payments business domains.
Build Logical Data Models based on functional and data requirements from product owners and SMEs.
Mature the content of Business Information Models by leveraging analysis from various implementations.
Ensure all models follow established information architecture standards and guidelines.
Propose information architecture approaches to technical teams and business stakeholders to meet future needs.
Identify opportunities to improve metadata, consistency of definitions, and end-to-end data lifecycle management.
Execute creative information architecture solutions and perform technical troubleshooting for complex problems.
Automate the remediation of recurring issues within the data environment.
Facilitate evaluation sessions with stakeholders to validate functional requirements and data rules.
What we're looking for
Degree in Computing Science, a related degree, or relevant experience.
10+ years of experience as an Information or Data Architect.
Hands-on practical experience delivering Logical Data Models and using Logical Data Modeling Tools.
Hands-on practical experience with Business & Data Analysis techniques.
CDMP Certification or another data management related certification.
Experience in building Common Data Models and exposure to Industry Data Models.
Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, their IT systems, and advanced knowledge of software, application, and architecture disciplines.
Working knowledge of MagicDraw, Erwin, UML, ER modeling methods, Wholesale Payments business, or Domain Driven Design (preferred).
