TL;DR · Vice President, Global Network Engineering

The Vice President, Global Network Engineering joins the Global Infrastructure, Engineering & Operations team to lead the strategy, engineering, modernization, and reliability of global network services. This executive oversees the foundational infrastructure connecting cloud, on-premises, data center, corporate, and customer-facing environments while driving a transition toward automated, service-oriented networking capabilities. The role involves managing LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, DNS, and load balancing across hybrid and multi-cloud platforms including GCP and AWS. Key responsibilities include simplifying network complexity through standardization, enhancing observability via telemetry and AI-enabled tools, and integrating security frameworks like zero trust into designs. The position requires expertise in infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and vendor management to ensure high availability and scalability for critical business operations within a highly regulated environment, ultimately ensuring robust connectivity across the entire enterprise ecosystem.

What you'll do

  • Define and execute the global network strategy across LAN, WAN, cloud, data center, and corporate environments.
  • Drive modernization of network services supporting hybrid and multi-cloud platforms including GCP and AWS.
  • Simplify network complexity through standardization, segmentation, and architectural modernization initiatives.
  • Establish a service-based operating model with defined ownership, performance measures, and support models.
  • Partner with internal teams to improve service consumption through automation and self-service capabilities.
  • Strengthen network reliability through disciplined incident management, root cause analysis, and change governance.
  • Advance network observability and AI-enabled operational capabilities to reduce complexity and improve availability.
  • Manage network capacity planning, technology lifecycle, vendor partnerships, and cost optimization strategies.

What we're looking for

  • 15+ years of experience leading large-scale enterprise network engineering, architecture, or infrastructure organizations in global environments.
  • Expertise in designing and operating global network services across data centers, cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), and corporate networks.
  • Proven success leading large-scale engineering teams and developing talent across multiple geographies.
  • Experience managing operations in highly regulated environments with a focus on security, resiliency, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in enterprise networking technologies including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Expertise in network observability, telemetry, monitoring, and implementing automation via infrastructure-as-code or AI-assisted practices.
  • Knowledge of network security frameworks, zero trust principles, and policy-driven governance.
  • Experience with service ownership models, AIOps, vendor strategy, and financial governance (preferred).
