What you'll do

Build and maintain software to enable efficient and seamless Sam's Club operations.
Design and implement software while upholding established design patterns and coding standards.
Develop and consume RESTful microservices using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes technologies.
Architect and maintain large-scale distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Implement and monitor high-volume, low-latency messaging infrastructure using Kafka.
Enforce engineering principles and high standards for code quality across the development team.
Deploy and manage cloud-native services on public cloud platforms.

What we're looking for

Hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 years of software engineering experience, or 4 years of experience without a degree.
Possess 5+ years of professional experience.
Have 4+ years of experience in Java/J2EE/Spring Boot.
Demonstrate solid experience in building and consuming RESTful Microservices.
Possess experience with Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Demonstrate experience with architectural, design, testing patterns, and large scale distributed systems with event-driven architecture.
Have practical exposure to Agile Methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD.
Have experience with public cloud platforms, cloud native services, and Kafka or other high volume messaging infrastructure.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular (preferred).
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area (preferred).
Demonstrate knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies (preferred).
