As a (USA) Senior, Software Engineer, you will join the team responsible for the in-store shopping journey to deliver next-generation features within the Walmart iOS App. You will design, develop, and ship advanced mobile experiences including Store Mode, Store Maps, Store Pages, and QR features to help customers navigate and shop in-store. What we're looking for
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
5+ years of experience building iOS apps with Swift, SwiftUI, and modern architectures like MVVM, VIPER, Clean, or Coordinators.
Proficiency in iOS SDKs including UIKit, Swift Concurrency (async/await), and Combine.
Experience integrating with backend APIs using REST, GraphQL, and JSON/HTTP, with familiarity with Node.js services.
Strong computer science fundamentals in design principles, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Ability to write unit/UI tests, automate workflows, and perform thorough code reviews.
Knowledge of MapKit, push notifications, CloudKit, accessibility, and performance instrumentation (preferred).
