What you'll do

  • Lead the business transformation of Walmart’s future assortment and space experience.
  • Translate merchandising strategy into executable priorities, requirements, and scalable technical solutions.
  • Orchestrate complex programs across Merchandising, Product, Technology, and Data Science teams.
  • Connect capabilities across organizational boundaries to create a seamless end-to-end merchant experience.
  • Establish operating rhythms, measures of success, and governance to manage dependencies and drive accountability.
  • Integrate AI, automation, and data capabilities to simplify merchant work and decision-making.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team while building strong partnerships across the enterprise.

What we're looking for

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 8 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
  • Option 2: 10 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
  • Deep merchandising or retail experience with a strong understanding of assortment, space, and the merchant decision-making process.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale business or technology transformation across complex, cross-functional organizations.
  • Ability to translate between business and technology by turning ambiguous problems into clear strategies, requirements, and executable plans.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect individual capabilities into a cohesive end-to-end experience.
  • Exceptional influence and communication skills with experience aligning senior leaders and teams with competing priorities.
  • Curiosity and fluency in AI, automation, data, and emerging technologies.
  • Certification in Project Management (preferred).
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 6 years’ experience in product design (preferred).
  • Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies (preferred).
