As a (USA) Data Scientist III, you will join the team developing advanced computer vision solutions to enhance Sam’s Club operations and member experience. You will develop, validate, and deploy scalable models to solve complex business challenges, including converting autonomous observations into precise inventory data and enabling fast exits while reducing shrink. Your daily responsibilities include conducting exploratory data analysis, feature selection, and hypothesis testing to generate actionable insights. What we're looking for
Obtain a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience in analytics, a Master's degree in a related field, or 4 years of experience in analytics.
Demonstrate extensive experience in data management, data quality standards, and data governance within complex data ecosystems.
Possess proficiency in advanced statistical methods, exploratory data analysis, and analytical modeling techniques including machine learning algorithms.
Exhibit strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and related languages for code development, testing, and model deployment.
Apply expertise in data visualization tools and techniques to communicate insights and influence decision-making.
Demonstrate the capability to mentor associates and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable analytical solutions.
Experience in data science, machine learning, or optimization models (preferred).
Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Econometrics (preferred).
