What you'll do

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for Level 2 controls and review processes within the Transmission Compliance organization.
  • Resolve verification issues identified during reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with established requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for methodology adherence, equipment ratings, corrective action development, and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and implement plans to address system-wide issues within specialized technical fields.
  • Solve complex engineering problems using advanced knowledge of equipment and specialized problem-solving techniques.
  • Prepare and present complex technical subjects to senior management, regulatory bodies, and professional organizations.
  • Make high-level technical decisions that impact the company's strategic direction and business objectives.

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program with 8 or more years of experience is required for SG9.
  • A Master's or PhD in engineering from an ABET accredited program with 6 or more years of experience is required for SG9.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's or PhD from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program is an acceptable alternative.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10 or more years of experience is required for SG10.
  • A Master's degree or PhD in engineering with 8 years of experience is required for SG10.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is preferred.
  • Electrical Engineering background is preferred, though Mechanical backgrounds are considered for station roles.
  • Experience with substation engineering, compliance programs (FAC-008, PRC, CIP), and internal controls is preferred.
