Touch HW EE Validation Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and execute validation and characterization methodologies for touch solutions from proof-of-concept to mass production.
• Architect solutions to solve complex, open-ended test and validation problems.
• Create analytical models to understand how test systems interact with touch sensors.
• Design metrics and figures-of-merit to guide touch design and performance tracking.
• Architect and design hardware and software infrastructure for innovative testing solutions.
• Manage vendors to implement validation tools, plans, and necessary infrastructure.
• Perform failure mode analysis using advanced tools to drive root cause diagnosis.
• Author technical reports and communications regarding key concepts, results, and project checkpoints.

What we're looking for

• BS degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Prior industry experience owning validation or test efforts on analog, mixed signal, or sensor products.
• Fundamental knowledge of physics, analog circuit and signals analysis, circuit design, and statistics.
• Experience with touch technology (preferred).
• High proficiency in software and algorithm prototyping using scripting languages like Matlab or Python (preferred).
• Experience in HW prototyping, Design of Experiments (DoE), and Failure Analysis/Corrective Action (preferred).
• Proficiency in data visualization and statistical analysis tools such as Tableau, SpotFire, JMP, Python, or Matlab (preferred).
• MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).
