The TMF Senior System Integration and Test Engineer leads the development of complex module-level systems, providing technical leadership for multidisciplinary test programs involving mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, and software systems. This role involves designing, building, and integrating test and measurement systems, defining requirements for instrumentation, and developing data acquisition architectures. The engineer will execute test plans, analyze results, and apply reliability engineering principles such as Weibull analysis and HALT/HASS testing to ensure product quality. Key technologies and tools include National Instruments, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, NX CAD, Minitab, xPC Target, dSPACE, Beckhoff, and PLC controls. The position solves technical challenges in system validation and reliability for advanced technology testing, ensuring high-quality execution and data accuracy across evolving, less-defined engineering environments.
Lead the architecture, design, and integration of complex multidisciplinary test and measurement systems.
Define test strategies, requirements, and validation approaches for mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic applications.
Design and develop mechanical fixtures, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for Devices Under Test.
Execute test programs, analyze results, and provide engineering recommendations to stakeholders.
Apply reliability engineering principles to perform failure mode investigations, lifetime testing, and root cause analysis.
Mentor engineers and technicians in testing methodologies, data analysis, and best practices.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical documentation for test programs.
Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure test objectives align with business needs.
What we're looking for
BS or BE degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or a related technical discipline required.
MS or PhD degree preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience required.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment required.
Experience designing, building, integrating, and executing test systems required.
Experience developing measurement and data acquisition systems required.
Experience with National Instruments, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or similar test and automation tools (preferred).
Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined by United States Export Administration Regulations.
