Test Development Engineer, Mechanical Dev Test & Integration

What you'll do

• Design and implement test equipment and infrastructure for satellite flight hardware development and qualification.
• Author and refine validation, verification, acceptance, and qualification test procedures.
• Develop automated systems for testing, data acquisition, and control.
• Design test fixtures and specify test equipment requirements for hardware prototypes and pilot production.
• Execute test campaigns to support development and production test initiatives.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments to improve hardware performance and reliability.
• Analyze test data to identify and solve complex technical challenges in satellite mechanical systems.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or equivalent.
• Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems.
• Experience with test plan development, building test bench infrastructure, developing tests, and verifying designs.
• Experience in test setup automation using MATLAB, Python, or Pearl (preferred).
• Knowledge of industry standard CAD & FEA design tools, industry trends, and design for manufacturability (preferred).
• Experience handling ambiguous challenges through strong problem solving abilities (preferred).
