JOB TITLE: Test Automation Engineer, Manufacturing Test (Intelligence Systems) As a Test Automation Engineer in the Manufacturing Test organization, you will join a software development team dedicated to ensuring product quality across land, sea, and air platforms. You will develop applications for Windows and Linux desktop environments, integrate cloud data and deployment features, and generate Python automation scripts for debugging and prototyping. Your daily work involves triaging issues, root causing failures, and partnering with end-users to transform needs into features. You will utilize technologies including Python, WPF, C#, Git, and RESTful services within AWS or Azure infrastructure. The role addresses complex multiplatform problems involving heavy reliance on cloud data systems, device communication protocols like USB, SPI, and CAN, and the development of automated unit, integration, and system-level testing for non-software products.

What you'll do

Develop applications for Windows and Linux desktop environments.
Integrate cloud data and deployment features while maintaining user authentication and security.
Generate Python automation scripts for debug and prototype development.
Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next steps for resolution.
Partner with end-users to translate requirements into functional features.
Create analytics to improve the development cycle and reduce operator time.
Implement parallel execution and automated deployment tools to improve throughput.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of relevant industry experience.
Expertise in software development with Python.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
8+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
Experience integrating or developing low-level code and device libraries or drivers (preferred).
Experience working in CI/CD and designing and delivering DevOps automation for app deployment and testing (preferred).
Experience in automated unit, integration and system-level testing (preferred).
