What you'll do

Create and maintain user manuals, technical guides, and release notes for diverse product lines.
Partner with engineers and subject matter experts to translate complex technical information into clear documentation.
Identify relevant stakeholders and lead them through a defined documentation roadmap and milestones.
Ensure all contract deliverables are accurate, on-time, and formatted correctly for account teams.
Produce documentation that complies with military standards such as MIL-STD-40051D and S1000D.
Manage project risks and communicate expectations clearly to leadership and internal stakeholders.
Establish the standard for tone, voice, and quality across all written company artifacts.
Contribute to a living documentation process to improve internal knowledge sharing and training.

What we're looking for

4+ years of demonstrated excellence generating technical documentation.
Experience writing technical user-facing documentation.
Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation.
Experience building content in a variety of formats such as Word and XML.
Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.
Military exposure and experience with military technical documentation standards like MIL-STD-40051D or S1000D (preferred).
Experience in Aerospace and Defense for the DoD (preferred).
