You will develop and maintain clear, accurate documentation for APIs, SDKs, and event streaming interfaces, collaborating closely with engineering teams to create approachable guides and tutorials. Key responsibilities include documenting complex technical concepts, designing scalable content structures, and contributing to tooling and automation using OpenAPI/AsyncAPI specs and CI/CD pipelines. You will also work on creating onboarding materials and improving the usability of developer documentation within the Aladdin Studio Developer Portal. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience in API or event-driven systems, a deep understanding of RESTful architectures, and proficiency in Markdown, YAML, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript. Experience with financial technology or enterprise SaaS environments is preferred.
Develop and maintain clear documentation for Aladdin Studio’s APIs, SDKs, and event streaming interfaces.
Document complex event-driven workflows including streaming APIs and real-time data integration patterns.
Design scalable content structures across multiple APIs, microservices, and event channels within Aladdin Studio.
Contribute to tooling and automation using OpenAPI/AsyncAPI specs for generating developer documentation.
Create onboarding materials and sample code for external and internal developers in collaboration with marketing teams.
Improve the discoverability and usability of content within the Aladdin Studio Developer Portal.
Champion documentation standards across the Aladdin Product Group to ensure consistency and clarity.
What we're looking for
2+ years experience as a Technical Writer, Developer Advocate, or Software Engineer focused on APIs.
Deep understanding of RESTful and event-streaming architectures like Kinesis.
Proven experience writing API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger or AsyncAPI specifications.
Hands-on familiarity with developer tooling such as Git, Postman, Redocly.
Strong grasp of cloud-based integration concepts including authentication and webhooks.
Excellent written communication skills to translate complex systems into user-friendly content.
Proficiency in Markdown, YAML, and basic scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
