Technical Specialist Advisor, Data & AI

What you'll do

• Build a scalable data foundation to support AI initiatives using Cloud and Data Engineering expertise.
• Implement data governance and security measures using GCP-native tools like Dataplex, Data Catalog, and BigQuery.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and manage infrastructure using Terraform and "Governance as Code" principles.
• Apply Data Mesh principles including domain-driven design and treating data as a product.
• Lead technical design sessions with multiple teams to drive decision-making.
• Translate complex technical designs into simple language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage project deliverables within an Agile development environment.
• Develop software solutions using programming languages such as Java or Python.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of data engineering background.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud with expertise in Dataplex, Data Catalog, and BigQuery.
• 5+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Prior tech lead experience is mandatory to lead design sessions and conclude decisions.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Experience implementing Data Mesh principles, including Domain-driven design and Data-as-a-Product.
• Ability to translate complex technical designs into simple language for non-technical stakeholders.
