The Technical Marketing Engineering Leader joins the Cisco Validated team to transform integrated technology strategies into field-credible, evidence-backed proof. This role involves leading cross-portfolio validation efforts for integrated solutions by building and testing complex lab environments that mirror real customer scenarios. You will define validation scopes, identify integration gaps, and translate technical findings into assets like reference architectures, case studies, and deployment guidance. Key responsibilities include mentoring developing TMEs and establishing repeatable validation practices. Required skills include broad technical fluency across networking, security, cloud, and AI infrastructure, specifically regarding routing, switching, wireless, zero trust, and high-performance fabrics. You will solve the business problem of clarifying what is repeatable and ready for customers by providing technical evidence that helps sales teams and partners understand how various technologies work together.
Lead cross-portfolio validation efforts for integrated Cisco solutions aligned with strategic priorities.
Define validation scope, success criteria, and evidence requirements for ambiguous technical requests.
Build, configure, test, and troubleshoot complex lab environments reflecting real customer scenarios.
Identify integration gaps, product limitations, and readiness concerns to inform leadership decisions.
Produce technical evidence, lab notes, configuration artifacts, and documentation for validated outcomes.
Mentor developing TMEs and external partners by setting technical direction and reviewing evidence quality.
Translate technical findings into field-ready assets for sales teams, architects, and partners.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
12+ years of hands-on technical experience designing, implementing, validating, troubleshooting, or supporting complex enterprise, service provider, cloud, security, collaboration, or data center technology environments.
Experience in networking, security, cloud, collaboration, automation, or adjacent infrastructure technologies with depth in at least one major technical domain.
Experience leading technical work across cross-functional stakeholders including product, engineering, field, sales, or customer-facing teams.
Experience translating ambiguous technical or business objectives into scoped validation plans, evidence requirements, findings, and field-ready outputs.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with shifting priorities and complex technical tradeoffs (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical findings to technical and non-technical audiences (preferred).
Deep knowledge of the Cisco portfolio with hands-on experience across multiple Cisco technologies, architectures, or solution domains (preferred).
