What you'll do

  • Provide technical leadership during major incidents, architecture reviews, and strategic infrastructure investments.
  • Mentor senior engineers through hands-on technical leadership, code reviews, and automated remediation strategies.
  • Manage the Kubernetes ecosystem including CNI implementations and service mesh networking architectures.
  • Implement SRE practices such as defining SLOs/SLIs and managing production readiness reviews.
  • Develop automation tools and self-service platforms using Go, Python, or other programming languages to reduce toil.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a U.S. citizen for work performed on U.S. soil.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 12+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production environments.
  • 7+ years of experience operating Kubernetes platforms and cloud-native infrastructure across multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting networking architectures for large-scale Kubernetes platforms, including CNI and service mesh.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps using Terraform and ArgoCD.
  • Experience implementing SRE practices, including SLOs/SLIs, incident management, and automated remediation.
  • Strong software engineering skills in Go, Python, Ruby, or similar languages for automation and platform development.
  • Experience migrating monolithic applications to microservices (preferred).
  • Knowledge of foundational networking concepts like switching, routing, Wi-Fi, and IoT (preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of observability tools and monitoring strategies for distributed systems (preferred).
