Systems Security Analyst

What you'll do

• Assess the effectiveness of system security controls and organizational cybersecurity-posture trends.
• Implement security measures to resolve vulnerabilities and mitigate risks to system components.
• Verify that minimum security requirements are implemented for all applications and systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system security implementation, operations, and maintenance activities.
• Analyze configuration, change, and release-management processes for security impact and compliance.
• Evaluate cybersecurity-enabled products and compensating controls to ensure risk is reduced to acceptable levels.
• Provide cybersecurity recommendations to leadership based on significant threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop procedures and support testing for system failover and alternate site operations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain additional read-ins.
• Must meet DoD 8140 / Defense Cyber Workforce Framework Work Role 511 – Cyber Defense Analyst qualification requirements.
• IAT Level II certification.
• Knowledge of encryption technologies, IT security principles, network access, and operating systems.
• Knowledge of network traffic, communications, and network-design processes.
• Skill in designing hardware and software integration and assessing security-system designs.
• CSSP Infrastructure Support certification (preferred).
• Experience performing ISSO or ISSM functions (preferred).
• Experience with Cyber Network Defense, IT security engineering, or cloud-security engineering (preferred).
• Agile training or experience (preferred).
