As a Systems Engineering Intern, you will join the engineering team to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures. Your daily responsibilities include performing operational analysis, developing concept of operations, and creating design and implementation plans. You will be responsible for developing test plans, procedures, and cases while conducting tests and documenting results. The role involves analyzing systems requirements from end users and delivering presentations to communicate design activity status to internal and external customers. To succeed in this position, you will utilize software tools, scripting, and perform software and hardware troubleshooting. Preferred technical skills include experience in systems architecture, performance modeling, and model-based systems engineering, with specific familiarity with Rhapsody. This role focuses on solving complex system integration and design challenges within the defense technology sector.
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Develop test plans, procedures, and specific test cases.
Conduct system tests and document the resulting data.
Utilize software tools, scripting, and hardware/software troubleshooting techniques.
Analyze system requirements from end systems and various users.
Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Experience or coursework in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering (preferred).
Familiarity with Rhapsody (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.
