The Systems Engineering Intern joins the team to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures. In this role, you will perform operational analysis, develop concept of operations, and create design and implementation plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing test plans, procedures, and cases while conducting tests and documenting results. You will analyze systems requirements from end users and internal systems to ensure technical alignment. The position requires utilizing software tools, scripting, and performing software and hardware troubleshooting. To communicate progress, you will deliver presentations regarding design activity plans to various stakeholders. Key skills include experience in systems architecture, performance modeling, and model-based systems engineering. Candidates should be familiar with Rhapsody while applying knowledge of systems analysis and design to solve complex technical challenges within the defense technology domain.
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Develop test plans, procedures, and specific test cases.
Conduct system tests and document the resulting data.
Utilize software tools, scripting, and hardware/software troubleshooting techniques.
Analyze system requirements from end users and integrated systems.
Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, aviation, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.
Ability to perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Ability to develop test plans, procedures, and cases while conducting tests and documenting results.
Proficiency in using software tools, scripting, and performing software/hardware troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze system requirements from end systems and users.
Ability to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Experience in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, performance modeling, integration, project management, or model-based systems engineering (preferred); familiarity with Rhapsody (preferred).
