The Systems Engineering Intern joins the team to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures. In this role, you will perform operational analysis, develop concept of operations, and create design and implementation plans. Daily responsibilities include developing test plans, procedures, and cases while conducting tests and documenting results. You will analyze systems requirements from end users and use software tools, scripting, and hardware troubleshooting to solve technical challenges. The position requires proficiency in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, or project management. Candidates may also utilize Rhapsody for model-based systems engineering tasks. This role focuses on the technical development of complex system architectures and the execution of rigorous testing protocols to ensure high-level functionality within a defense technology environment.
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Develop test plans, procedures, and cases.
Conduct tests and document the resulting data.
Utilize software tools, scripting, and hardware/software troubleshooting techniques.
Analyze system requirements from end systems and users.
Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, aviation, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.
Ability to perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Ability to develop test plans, procedures, and cases while conducting tests and documenting results.
Proficiency in using software tools, scripting, and performing software/hardware troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze system requirements from end systems and users.
Ability to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Experience or coursework in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, performance modeling, integration, project management, or model-based systems engineering (preferred); familiarity with Rhapsody (preferred).
