Systems Engineer, DNS

What you'll do

• Maintain and expand DNS infrastructure by implementing new features for customers.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code to simplify and improve systems.
• Debug and resolve complex service issues with minimal assistance to improve system resilience.
• Act as a subject matter expert for moderately complex systems and project inquiries.
• Propose and implement solutions to improve team processes and technology.
• Mentor junior engineers through thoughtful code and design reviews.
• Provide input on product requirement documents in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Own the full lifecycle of changes including rollout, monitoring, and on-call support.

What we're looking for

• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
• Strong systems programming fundamentals, including performance, concurrency, and networking (preferred).
• Ability to write production code in Rust or Go, or a track record of learning a comparable language quickly (preferred).
• Ability to drive projects to completion and scope work effectively for yourself and other team members (preferred).
• Experience running established team meetings or technical discussions (preferred).
• Contributions to technical documentation or talks that guide your team or organization (preferred).
• Experience interviewing and providing meaningful feedback on technical candidates (preferred).
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
