As a Senior Software Engineer, DNS, you will join the Cloud Software & Solutions group to focus on the engineering, automation, and continuous improvement of enterprise DNS platforms and services. You will design, build, and evolve architecture spanning authoritative and recursive DNS, forwarding, delegation, and service integrations while modernizing the platform through infrastructure as code and automation frameworks. Your daily work involves improving provisioning, configuration management, validation, monitoring, and recovery to ensure reliability and security for critical services at scale. You will utilize Python, Ansible, Terraform, and AI-assisted tools within Linux environments to automate tasks and troubleshoot complex issues involving DNSSEC, caching, and resolution behavior. What we're looking for
Candidates must be U.S. citizens to perform work on U.S. soil.
A Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in software, systems, or cloud engineering is required.
Experience is required in designing, implementing, and operating authoritative and recursive DNS services.
Candidates must have experience developing infrastructure automation using Python and tools like Ansible or Terraform.
Experience administering Linux environments and diagnosing issues across DNS, networking, and distributed systems is required.
Experience using AI-assisted tools to automate tasks and improve engineering workflows is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with DNSSEC, GSLB, Anycast DNS, and hybrid cloud patterns.
Familiarity with Kubernetes CoreDNS, CI/CD, and policy-based automation is preferred.
