Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Derive qualification requirements from stakeholders and develop robust test plans and verification approaches.
• Provide technical leadership to the test team for subscale and solid rocket motor static tests.
• Drive key verification activities including environmental, subscale, and static testing of rocket motors.
• Develop and standardize test processes, procedures, and concepts of operations (CONOPs).
• Identify and manage outsourced testing requirements with external suppliers and customers.
• Generate and release work instructions, processes, and procedures for manufacturing and test operations.
• Present technical artifacts and test readiness during safety reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Support onsite prototyping, manufacturing, and test operations at production and supplier facilities.

What we're looking for

• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science, or a similar engineering or technical field.
• 5+ years of Systems or Test Engineering experience across the life cycle.
• Experience with systems testing and evaluation methodologies, preferably in propulsion and space-related fields.
• Experience with Systems Engineering, requirements elicitation, integration, and test activities on complex systems like DoD weapon systems.
• Experience with Data Acquisition systems, instrumentation, and data post-processing.
• Experience documenting processes, procedures, and producing on-floor work instructions.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with SysML, DoDAF, UAFP, or similar (preferred).
