System Software Developer

What you'll do

• Drive wireless telemetry development and analysis for Cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth across all Apple products.
• Utilize large data analytics and GenAI tools to analyze wireless usage in the field.
• Identify power improvement opportunities through the analysis of wireless usage data.
• Extract insights from data trends to guide new power optimization features.
• Influence future hardware design based on analyzed wireless performance data.
• Build, ship, and maintain high-quality system software for production use.
• Collect meaningful radio metrics to improve the performance of Apple products.

What we're looking for

• Proficient in C, C++, or Objective-C with a mastery of Python.
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong system-level understanding and excellent debugging skills.
• Good understanding of wireless communication, plus one or more of Wi-Fi or cellular protocols.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams.
• Strong mathematical foundations (preferred).
• Experience with development on mobile systems (preferred).
