SysDev Engineer II

What you'll do

• Oversee the full lifecycle of Linux client systems including provisioning, configuration, patching, and retirement.
• Implement and maintain security controls to ensure compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, and ITAR requirements.
• Develop automation for imaging, software distribution, monitoring, and policy enforcement using tools like Ansible or Puppet.
• Launch and maintain printers integrated with SAP-driven manufacturing processes on the production floor.
• Define metrics and dashboards to monitor fleet health, performance, and mean time to repair.
• Build and document processes for hardware lifecycle management, software approvals, and user support.
• Troubleshoot fleet issues and perform root cause analysis to improve system stability.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
• 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
• Proficiency in Linux management (RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.) in Enterprise or Manufacturing Organizations.
• Proficiency in VMware in Enterprise or Manufacturing Organizations.
• Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java (preferred).
• Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology (preferred).
• ITAR compliance.
